There is no denying that today’s Talent Acquisition landscape is changing. Compared to the last few years, 2019 has certainly been fraught with challenges; there are a number of external factors impacting the pool of talent available and at the same time many companies are facing internal difficulties such as limited resources coupled with a growing number of positions to fill.
It is often hard to navigate through such stresses, and the goal of the 2019 Talent Acquisition Institute was not to impose a sense of ‘doom and gloom’ over the attendee audience of Talent Acquisition Leaders from Fortune 1000-sized organizations. The event actually did quite the opposite, providing a safe space for executives to band together in order to share strategies and solutions to meet various challenges and concerns of the TA function as well as benchmark performance.
VPs of Talent Acquisition and Chief Talent Officers broke out into a series of interactive panel discussions, roundtables and keynotes to discuss themes such as Strategic Planning for 2019, Building a Strong Company Culture to Attract and Retain Talent, Leadership Development through Inclusion, and Creating an Amazing Candidate Experience.
Conducting these sessions were VPs of Talent Acquisition and Chief Talent Officers from various organizations such as Warner Music Group, MD Anderson Leadership Center, Chubb, TD Bank, Bristol Myers-Squibb, and MGM Resorts International, among many others.
With all the challenges facing the Talent Acquisition and recruitment process for organizations, the Institute also provided the opportunity for attendees to learn about the innovations and solutions available for leaders to utilize in order to take control of the TA process. Attendees left feeling enlightened, armed with new tools and actionable insights needed to face the new frontier of Talent Acquisition, which places a newfound focus on training, automation, upskilling and nurturing talent.
