On September 22-24, L&D executives gathered at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner, to develop a better understanding of the strategic role that L&D leaders play within the organization – overall formulating an ambitious vision for the learning function.
Learning and development trends are transforming rapidly every year, due to the increasing ubiquity of new technologies, such as virtual and augmented reality, automation, and artificial intelligence. Applied correctly, these technologies will enhance existing action-oriented learning and create a pathway to new innovative and modern learning techniques. Leaders in the learning community must understand how to implement meaningful L&D techniques to enable and support learning to meet their organizations’ needs and objectives.
At the 2019 Corporate Learning & Development Institute, L&D executives broke out into a series roundtables, think tanks, interactive panels and keynotes. These dynamic sessions discussed various themes such as, the transformation of world-class learning organizations, culture as it relates to the learning strategy, the rise of the “gig economy”, innovation in AR/VR/MR, adaptive learning strategies, the digital enablement of learning, the learning journey of the individual, creating a compelling employee experience, and modernizing your learning strategy.
Over two-and-a-half days, L&D leaders were able to network with many of their peers, learn key strategies and best practices to bring back to their organizations, and discover actionable insights necessary to thrive in today’s corporate landscape.
