Healthcare Finance Institute
April 5 - April 7, 2020
The Belmond, Charleston, South Carolina
CFO’s and Heads of Finance Departments Gather in Phoenix, AZ to Discuss What’s Next and Best in Healthcare Finance
The US Healthcare arena continues to evolve at a rapid pace; implementation deadlines are approaching, relationships between physician practices, independent community hospitals and regional and national health systems continue to change, and there is much discussion around the paradigm shift from volume to value. As a result, hospitals and health systems are looking at key strategies to transform their institutions to better equip themselves for the future of healthcare.
On April 7-9, 2019, CFO’s and Heads of Finance Departments for large hospital and health systems across the U.S. gathered at The Wigwam Resort in Phoenix, AZ to share insights, tips and tactics as well as engage in discussions around minimizing costs and maximizing ROI for their systems.
Designed by Healthcare Finance Executives, for Healthcare Finance Executives, the Healthcare Finance Institute recognizes the importance of staying fresh in the finance world, bringing together proactive executives ready to learn about the changes to come and the strategies to survive in a complicated healthcare ecosystem.
Attendees broke out into a series of interactive panel discussions, round tables and keynotes surrounding topics such as the CEO’s perspective on strategic financial leadership, the rewards and risks of hospital and health system mergers and acquisitions, how to enhance value to the organization through digital innovation, meeting on what matters with hospital and physician group alignment, advancing value-based care and transitioning from fee-for-service to fee-for-value, among other areas.
With many potential outcomes to consider when facing the state of U.S. Healthcare and the pending implications, the Healthcare Finance Institute was able to provide the leaders of the future with strategic perspectives for successful financial management.
Next year’s Healthcare Finance Institute will take place April 5th – 7th, 2020 at The Belmond in Charleston, SC. Great function. Topics and agenda was very relevant, and the speakers were all knowledge experts in their area. Business meetings created good opportunities for brainstorming about potential future partnerships.
The event was one of the best I’ve been to. The networking was great with meaningful dialogue. The Think Tank format was one I enjoyed the most. I thought the priority issues were all well covered for Healthcare Finance.
Very relevant and timely topics. Information provided was in concise and easy to understand format. Networking was great. Enjoyed every minute and would love to attend future conferences.
Overall the level of discussion was excellent and there was active participation by nearly the entire group in the two think tank sessions I attended. This is my first Healthcare Finance Institute event and I found it interesting and thought provoking. In terms of revenue cycle and some limited areas outside revenue cycle the priorities were on target and the presenters went in-depth to outline their work and achievements. The overall experience was excellent.
