Healthcare IT Institute
June 2 - June 4, 2019
La Cantera Resort, San Antonio, TX
Positioning IT to Influence Transformation, Boost Innovation, Optimize Customer Service and Demonstrate Value.
The U.S. Healthcare Industry is dynamic, complex and evolving. It is gradually transitioning away from a traditional fee-for-service model to one that incorporates value into the payment equation with the objectives of managing populations of health and creating better patient outcomes in a cost efficient manner. As hospitals are under pressure to adjust to the new payment models created by insurers and Medicare, they have to respond to the new environment of Shared Risk, Accountable Care and Pay for Value.
While providers and health plans are focused on how to effectively coordinate to support population health management, having the right IT solutions and intelligence will be central in these efforts and many health systems are making investments so they can better manage care across acute care hospitals, urgent care centers, outpatient clinics, and other care settings.
Since IT is one of the biggest expenses, CIOs need to be out front driving down cost, increasing innovation and playing a strategic role in decision making. If IT organizations lack the skills and resources to enable the necessary changes, CIOs may need to source them externally. With the right capabilities and the help of disruptive technologies, CIOs can move value-based initiatives forward quickly.
The 2019 Healthcare IT Institute has been designed by Healthcare CIOs for Healthcare CIOs. The agenda recognizes the importance of keeping abreast of current technology developments in a highly regulated and rapidly evolving environment and over the course of two and a half days, you will accomplish a great deal, digging into a range of highly relevant and timely topics, and gleaning actual pragmatic tips and best practices from your peers.
