A Quicken Loans veteran, Mike has worn many hats (and unique socks) during his 14 years at the company since graduating from Michigan State University.
He started on the mortgage banking sales floor in 2005 and successfully worked his way into multiple sales leadership roles. He rocked the charts as a President’s Club Banker and kicked it up another notch to lead multiple sales teams as a Sr. Director of Mortgage Banking – including building the foundation for QL’s Corporate Relocation and Private Label – Charles Schwab Bank Client Purchase Lending into multi-billion-dollar channels. Navigating through this industry, the infamous credit crisis and thrill of building large channels of business from scratch have provided Mike perspective and experience to go beyond the traditional Sales leadership role – typically characterized as focusing “in the business” to spend more time “on the business.”
Mike has always embraced the individuality of each of his team members and upheld the Quicken Loans ISMs, his favorite ISM being, “The inches we need are everywhere around us.” Today, he leverages these inches while working on the business to develop high-performing teams and unleash the power of CRM, strategy, and business intelligence. It is his mission to provide the technology, process, collaboration and leadership needed to drive the business forward.
After office hours, Mike is probably remodeling his house, snow skiing or traveling. His adventures and antics are all in good fun with his fiancé, Kate, whom he will tie the knot with this August. His side hustle is becoming a standup/improv comedian.
