Cybersecurity Strategies in Times of Change

Thursday, July 16, 2020 • 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (EDT)

As hospital and health system security leaders continue to navigate the COVID-19 crisis, they are now beginning to pivot and have begun thinking about short and long-term strategies, plans and objectives. CIOs and CISOs in particular have a unique opportunity at this time to reevaluate existing IT initiatives and adapt to evolving workplace culture and logistics.  Organizations have employed various approaches for navigating through the crisis, but no single organization has all the answers.

Through participation in this VTT series, healthcare information security executives have an opportunity to collaborate and collectively develop better answers that are both data-driven and experience-based. You will be part of an engaged community of healthcare thought leaders, exchanging information and ideas on how to improve healthcare cybersecurity and ultimately patient security during these turbulent times.

Some critical topics that will be explored during the first part of the series include:

  • How COVID-19 has changed the business model of delivering care and the effects on your organization’s infrastructure
  • Projected financial impact of revenue losses on your cybersecurity program
  • How to evaluate risk-based decisions and prioritize initiatives
