Virtual Think Tank Series
How does Culture play a role in creating a best in class integrated risk management program?
Thursday, August 5, 2021 • 2:00pm – 3:00pm EST
Although the term integrated risk management (IRM) is new, the concept is not. Gartner defines IRM as “a set of practices and processes supported by a risk-aware culture and enabling technologies that improves decision-making and performance through an integrate view of how well an organization manages its unique set of risks”
We spent a lot of in the risk technology industry talking about the enabling of technologies but not as much time on the risk-aware culture. In any enterprise, from the CEO to the person at the desk next to you, all employees need a heightened awareness of risk and how it impacts their organization. The risk and compliance teams alone can only do its best to reduce risk, but if the rest of the firm does not feel involved in managing risk, any employee could be making uninformed decisions with great consequence.
In this interactive Virtual Think Tank, let us lean in together and learn from our peers. What strategies have we taken to create a culture of risk? What steps are being taken to build a robust culture roadmap for the future.
Topics to be considered are:
- Are the compliance and risk teams empowered to shape company culture?
- Has the culture of risk and compliance changed in the new post pandemic world?
- What is the biggest challenge you face in your journey to risk aware culture?
