Chris joined Memorial Hermann Health System in 2012 and has served as Deputy General Counsel since 2014 and General Counsel of Memorial Hermann Health Plan since 2020. In his role Chris manages Memorial Hermann’s legal function, serves as the system’s primary in-house legal counsel for general business, transactional and corporate governance matters, and manages all health plan legal work.
Chris has practiced law since 1996, and roles prior to joining Memorial Hermann Chris include General Counsel for St. Joseph Medical Center in Houston and Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Hospital Partners of America, Inc., in Charlotte, North Carolina. His experience also includes over eight years in private legal practice. Chris serves as an Adjunct Professor at University of Houston Law Center.
Chris earned his undergraduate degree in History and Government from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana and his law degree from the College of William and Mary Marshall – Wythe School of Law in Williamsburg, Virginia.
