Deirdre is currently the Head of Diversity & Inclusion and Global Talent Acquisition for AXA XL. In this role, she is responsible for developing and leading world-class talent acquisition and diversity and inclusion strategies, including candidate attraction and experience, hiring metrics and innovative and effective talent sourcing, along with driving diversity and inclusion through workplace initiatives, workforce engagement and marketplace opportunities.
Prior to joining AXA XL, she was the Head of Global Executive Recruiting for Johnson & Johnson, where she built and led the firm’s first executive recruiting function. There, she was accountable for all competitive executive talent activity and creating a global search firm portfolio and diversity recruiting strategy. Earlier in her career, she held a variety of recruiting leadership and talent management positions at The Hartford Financial Services Group, most recently serving as the Vice President of Talent Acquisition & Management, leading assessment, recruiting and several enterprise talent management practices. Prior to The Hartford, Deirdre was a member of the executive committee for one of the largest Global retained executive search firms, working in partnership with the CEO, sector leaders and office managing partners, to design and implement an organizational model to drive the North American search division and launching the firm’s first diversity practice.
In her career, Deirdre has completed numerous talent assessments and search assignments for clients in various industries, including investment management, investment banking, insurance, consumer products, life sciences, medical devices, finance and human resources.
