Dr. Gerard Seijts is a Professor of Organizational Behaviour at the Ivey Business School. He is also the Executive Director of the Ian O. Ihnatowycz Institute for Leadership at Ivey. Gerard received his PhD from the University of Toronto.
Prior to joining the Ivey Business School in 2000, Gerard was on the faculty at the I.H. Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. Professor Seijts has taught undergraduate, MBA, EMBA, and executive programs in leadership, leading change, organizational behaviour, human resource management, behavioural decision-making, staffing, and performance management. He has also delivered workshops to corporate executives on topics such as leading deep and comprehensive change, team leadership, designing effective organizations, strategic interviewing, and behavioural decision-making.
Dr. Seijts is teaching on several leadership programs with executives from organizations such as Maple Leaf Foods, Aecon, OMERS, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, Colabor, JD Irving, AS Watson, Bank of China, City of Toronto, City of London, among others. He has received numerous teaching awards throughout his career.
