John Steele focuses on legal practice emphasizing legal ethics, the law of lawyering, legal malpractice, and risk management. He is certified Specialist in the law of Legal Malpractice (Cal. Bd. Legal Spec.), offering counseling, opinion letters, and expert witness engagements. He has taught approximately 40 semesters as adjunct lecturer in legal ethics at UC-Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), Stanford Law School, Santa Clara University School of Law, Indiana University (Maurer School of Law), and Golden Gate University. He is a former member of COPRAC (2005-08) (State Bar of California’s standing Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct).
