Judy Ringholz has a depth of experience that enables her to analyze compliance issues from every perspective. Judy began her career as a nurse manager in all areas throughout the perinatal nursing continuum. During the second phase of her career, Judy worked in law firm settings to assist with defending hospitals and individual providers in malpractice litigation then returned to the hospital setting to work in risk management. Since 2004, Judy’s professional focus has been in health care compliance. She has served as a compliance officer at the local, regional and corporate levels in four major health systems and has served as a compliance enforcement attorney for the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG). Judy speaks on health care compliance topics at local, state, and national conferences, and she has published in Legal Nurse Consulting: Principles and Practice, the Journal of Health Care Compliance, and Compliance Today. Judy is certified in health care compliance and licensed to practice law in Texas and DC. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for SCCE/HCCA. At present, Judy serves as Vice President of Compliance and Ethics & Chief Compliance Officer for Jackson Health System in Miami, Florida.
