Karen Ferraro is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Medline Industries.
She has held this position since 2012. In this role, Ms. Ferraro is a key leader of the 12 billion dollar medical products company, and is responsible for leading the human resources organization to develop the strategies and practices that will attract, develop, and engage a workforce of over 20,000 globally.
Medline is a healthcare business that provides clinical solutions, supplies and strategies to help providers run more efficiently. Medline supports nearly a third of the largest healthcare systems in the United States. When Ms. Ferraro joined the company, the human resources function was barely in existence. She has built the entire function to one that is critical to the ongoing growth of the business. In the time since she joined the company, sales have more than doubled. This high growth business needed human resources solutions that enabled speed and agility to meet customer demands.
Ms. Ferraro has extensive experience working as a human resources executive. Prior to Medline she held human resource leadership roles at SC Johnson, CNH Global, Bristol Myers Squibb, and Walgreens. She also has held leadership roles in Public Relations and Marketing.
Ms. Ferraro holds both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Organization Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
