LeToia Crozier is Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer, naviHealth; a care transitions company with the clinical expertise, technology, post-acute provider network, patient database and post-acute care management experience to optimize clinical and financial outcomes across the care continuum.
LeToia joined the naviHealth team in February 2019 and has over twenty-two years of healthcare experience, including nineteen years’ as a healthcare attorney. LeToia serves as the company’s Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer and manages all aspects of enterprise compliance and privacy, investigations, and the implementation of the company’s Compliance and Ethics Program. LeToia also provides counsel on regulatory and operational matters for the company.
Since joining naviHealth, LeToia’s primary focus has been on the strategic expansion of the company’s compliance and ethics program. This includes building a strong compliance infrastructure that mandates governance and accountability throughout all levels of the organization; and actively mitigating risk by evaluating the operational and financial impact of regulatory requirements through the monitoring, auditing and performance of the compliance and ethics program. Finally, LeToia instituted an integrated approach to risk management, to establish interdependencies between compliance and strategic objectives, improve business unit specific risk detection, and promote a culture of optimal business performance with corporate integrity.
Prior to joining naviHealth, LeToia served as Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer of Change Healthcare from 2014-2019, a leading healthcare technology company. During her tenure at Change Healthcare, LeToia was responsible for administering the company’s global compliance and ethics program; including establishing a Compliance Liaison Network to create interdependencies between foreign and domestic business divisions to create strategic objectives, facilitate risk detection, and improve business process optimization.
LeToia lead a multifaceted team of legal, compliance and information technology professionals possessing experience within the healthcare, government, legal, pharmaceutical, insurance, information technology and government affairs industry.
LeToia served as Senior Vice President of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs for Cogent Healthcare (now Sound Physicians) from 2009-2014. Cogent provided clinical solutions to acute care and post-acute care facilities in the United States. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Cogent Healthcare board of directors, LeToia led the organization’s compliance, coding operations, compliance audit, privacy and security programs.
From 2006-2009 LeToia served as Corporate Counsel for Community Health Systems (CHS), the largest provider of general hospital healthcare services in the United States. In this role, LeToia provided legal counsel to corporate and twenty-four hospitals, inclusive of negotiating hospital, physician, multispecialty practice and vendor contracts. She also provided operational guidance, handled hospital and physician practice acquisitions, Certificate of Need projects, and sales and lease agreements.
LeToia’ s legal career also includes serving as Legal Counsel, Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Compliance for Meharry Medical College, Government Operations Support for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) and Legal Associate for the TN Department of Health, Office of the General Counsel.
LeToia is very involved in community outreach. She currently serves on the Board of the YMCA Community Action Project (Y-CAP), where members serve at risk, low-income youth by providing programs to assist with behavioral problems, coaching, mentoring, and academic tutoring.
LeToia is a native of Los Angeles, California, and received her undergraduate degree in Business from Pepperdine University in 1993. She decided to make Nashville her home after completing her third year of law school at Vanderbilt University. LeToia received her law degree from Chapman University in 1999 and is admitted to the Tennessee Bar. She received her Health Care Compliance Association, Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) in 2003.
