She is responsible for setting the strategic direction, partnering with senior leaders throughout the organization to determine priorities, and implementing programs that position Humana as a leader in inclusion and diversity.
Maria previously served as the Vice President of Enterprise Shared Business Solutions; that included overseeing internal consulting, training, workforce management, and customer complaint operations across Humana. She played a leading role in the organization’s development of systems and processes that enable consumer experience transformation, including launching a Service Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform to over 10,000 front-line associates.
Maria also served as the Director, Enterprise Consulting Group, as well as the Director of Regulatory Implementation and Performance Management for the Medicare Division. Prior to joining Humana, Maria spent 16 years with Ford Motor Credit Corporation in Dearborn, MI, where she held a variety of Operations and Sales leadership positions.
In 2016, she was inducted into the SIU College of Business Alumni Hall of Fame. She also serves on the board of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.
Maria earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Southern Illinois University, a Master of Science degree from Central Michigan University, and a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Ford Motor Company.
