Randy joined Misumi USA in August 2017 as the Chief HR Officer. He is charged with transforming the HR organization into a best-in-class operation that leverages technology and big data, and embodies the values of collaboration, quality, and speed. He is responsible for integrating diverse cultures into a unified entity that capitalizes on the best everyone has to offer. He brought talent acquisition in-house, identifying it as a core competency critical to his company’s long-term success. He is a thought leader who embodies the spirit of unified HR and business leadership and has long been a champion for HR and its practitioners.
He has a track record of operationalizing a wide range of strategic initiatives, including developing, streamlining, and optimizing talent acquisition processes, leveraging vendor partners, and creating outstanding candidate experiences. He has developed and implemented cost effective benefits plans, restructured 401(k) plans, and implemented several HRIS. He has led employee relations and compliance, and strongly advocates for the strategic business partner role for HR professionals.
Randy joined the Board of HR Alliance DC, a premier Washington DC-based HR association, as chairman of the Compensation Survey Committee in January 2014 and was named President-Elect in 2015. He served as President in 2016 and 2017, became Treasurer in 2018, and remains on the Board for 2019. It was in his role as President and his efforts to grow membership and sponsorship that strongly influenced Randy’s views on the importance of sales and marketing skills as core abilities for HR practitioners.
