Unlocking the Potential of Frontline Nurse Managers to Drive Engagement and Retention

Wednesday, October 21, 2020 • 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM (EDT)

Over the past few months, the pandemic has forced hospitals and health systems to amplify existing cost reduction strategies.  One of these strategies, managing staff burnout, or churn, has become a top priority for all health systems. This priority is perhaps most critical for nurses, one of the largest segments of the hospital workforce.

For example, Nurse Leaders sit in the position to uniquely impact the metrics that matter most to Healthcare: Staff and Patient Satisfaction, Quality and Safety and Cost efficiencies. The foundational driver starts with staff satisfaction and engagement. We will share case unique strategies and case studies of how systems have saved millions in hard and soft costs (Incremental OT, Productivity, Enhanced Retention and Satisfaction).

This interactive discussion, led by CJ Floros, COO of Laudio and Nancy Gaden, SVP & CNO at Boston Medical Center, will explore:

  • Case study findings with sustainable impacts on productivity, engagement / satisfaction and retention
  • Some of the innovative and unique ways Boston Medical Center is implementing systemic and sustainable best practices with their frontline leaders
  • How frontline managers are gaining administrative productivity and repurposing that new found time for ongoing performance management of their teams
