Today’s job market is pushing Talent Acquisition professionals to rethink how they engage and evaluate candidates.

In addition to the intense competition for talent that this fosters, today’s talent market is more complex, as evolving candidate expectations, social media and new recruitment technologies are challenging Talent Acquisition Executives to abandon the way it’s always been done.

The 2019 iteration of the Talent Acquisition Institute took place June 9 – 11 in Muskoka, Ontario. The event hosted an intimate gathering of Talent Acquisition executives, providing a safe space to exchange best practices and strategies to help solve the variety of challenges facing Talent Acquisition leaders in diverse industries across Canada.

VPs and Heads of Talent Acquisition broke out into a series of interactive panel discussions, roundtables and keynotes to discuss themes such as Strategic Planning for 2019, How to Transform a Start-Up to Strategic TA Program, Candidate Centric Approaches to TA, Social Media and the Influence on Employer Branding, Designing the Best Format to Hire Top Talent, Leveraging Data Analytics During the Recruitment Process, Engaging our Next Generation of Entrepreneurs, just to name a few.Facilitators of these sessions were from various organizations such as TD Bank, RBC, Rexall, TJX Canada, Best Buy, Intuit, lululemon, Canada Life, Sun Life Financial, among many others.

With all the challenges facing the Talent Acquisition and recruitment process for organizations, the Institute also provided the opportunity for attendees to learn about the innovations and solutions available for leaders to utilize in order to take control of their talent acquisition process.

If you would like to join the conversation and engage with forward thinking Talent Acquisition Leaders, next year’s Talent Acquisition Institute will take place June 7-9, 2020 at the JW Marriott Parq in Vancouver, BC.
